Anoop Rai
He also served as Associate and Former Director, Center for International Financial Services and Markets from 2008-2013 where he organized global conferences and business roundtables with participation by senior corporate executives, regulators and academics from around the world.
Professor Rai’s current research interest centers on international banking and financial markets. His articles have been published in the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, , Journal of Financial Research Services, and Financial Management, among others. He has presented papers at several national and international finance conferences.
He is the co-author of the textbook “Introduction to International Business,” the second edition was released in September 2013. He also serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Multinational Financial Management.
Between 1997–2006, he served as a Director of Access Systems International, a New York headquartered firm with offices in India that provided advanced engineering and design services to aerospace and industrial clients in the US, Europe and Japan. He was often called to make presentations to C-Level executives and participated in negotiations with design engineers and clients. He made frequent trips to Europe and India to resolve communication and technical issues between clients and engineering teams.
Professor Rai has taught at several other institutions as a visiting or adjunct professor, including at the Rotterdam School of Management, The Netherlands, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, University of Catania in Sicily, Italy, New York University and Rutgers University, Singapore. He has also conducted seminars on risk management to bankers from China, Russia and the Netherlands Antilles.
Professor Rai received his B.A. (Honours) and M.A. in Economics from Delhi University, India, and his M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He earned his Ph.D. in International Business with minors in Finance and Economics from the Kelly School at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.
