Salvatore F. Sodano

Salvatore F. Sodano is currently serving as Vice Chairman of Broadridge Advisor Solutions. He is also serving as Vice Chairman and is a member of the board of Directors of Gabelli Securities, Inc. and Vice Chairman, Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, Associated Capital Group, Inc. (Listed NYSE, ticker symbol AC).

He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Health System of Long Island, Inc. (Catholic Health Services, CHS), a 17,000 employee, multi billion dollar healthcare system. He currently serves as Chairman of their Investment Committee overseeing a close to 1 billion dollar portfolio.

Chairman Sodano has served in several capacities at CHS, Eastern Division, between 2007 and 2012 including Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee, and member of the Executive and Compensation Committees. He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, St. Charles Hospital and St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center from 2011-2012.

Salvatore F. Sodano is a Sorin Distinguished Teaching Fellow at Hofstra University , where until recently he served as the Senior Executive Adviser to the President of Hofstra University . In this role, Mr. Sodano assisted the President on University wide initiatives.

In another capacity, he served as the Dean of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. He was also the Chairman of Hofstra’s Board of Trustees for the maximum three one-year terms from October 2002 through October 2005. He is also the Chairman of the Business and Academic Advisory Boards of The Center for International Financial Services and Markets.

Between 1999 to 2005, Mr. Sodano served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) beginning in 1999 as the Acting Chairman. He led the company through some of the most tumultuous times in global capital markets history. He directed the complete overhaul of AMEX infrastructure, developed new products, rebranded the 100+ year old institution and established new relationships with key constituencies , including CEO’s and CFO’s at AMEX-listed companies; regulatory authorities, and federal , state and local elected officials, the Wall Street community, and media.

From 1997 to 2004, Mr. Sodano served at the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD, then parent of the NASDAQ Stock Market) serving as Vice Chairman, COO and CFO. Before that, he was the Chief Manager and Principal Operating Officer, Westpac Banking Corporation, Americas Division – a global merchant bank from 1990 to 1997. Prior to that he worked at Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) overseeing global CFO network (Vice President and Group Head) and JP Morgan (Assistant to the Treasurer). He began his career at Price Waterhouse as a staff accountant.
